PE for sure, but I forgot the colors. I THINK a 3.2 was blue and a 4.2 red.

For sure not a 2.4. They never did one and that carb is way to big.
PE made 3.2 (sachs), 3.3(Husky), 4.2, 5.8 (Sachs both)
Easy way to tell is the casting numbers on the base of the cylinder.

My vote goes with 3.2 then. That plug just looks too big for a 4.2. A spinner measurement would help.

Resale value is going to be on the low side. By todays standards it's low on power and heavy. I don't see an ignition in the picture and from what I remember this engine had mechanical timing advance. Most guys would want to upgrade the ignition at around 70.00. I would think that if you get 175.00 for it as is you would be luckey. You may want to consider selling off the spinner and muffler seperatly but do the homework to see what other and hopefully current engines the muffler will fit.

3.2 forsure. Not alot of power and really reliable. Its a good warbird engine because of its weight. These engines were popular in the 90's and not exactly cheap.

Very underpowered, Last Nosen P-51 I saw had a G-62 in the nose and it was marginal.

It would be great in an ESM or TopFlite Corsair.
