Default Spark plug boot hard to get on

Hi Guys, I am installing a DLE 55 on my Areoworks YAK and am installing the ignition. Question is the plug boot does not want to go on all the way. This is my first gasser. Does the top cap of the spark plug un-screw off so it will seat in the boot or am I just not pushing it hard enough? The hole inside of the silicone of the boot seems way smaller than the top cap of the plug. HELP!! I am ready to get this baby running, but don't want to screw anything up. Any advise is appreciated. Butch.

use some silicone lub or dielectric grease and they will go on easer and won't adhear to the plug so they come off easer [sm=thumbs_up.gif]

Because of the metal ring at the base of the cap having to expand to let the cap go over the hex on the plug, it can be somewhat of a bear to get them on. It's also what helps keep them grounded good on the plug to eliminate RF noise. They are way harder to push on than a standard automotive type cap. Good luck.

Push on while twisting the cap! Push hard.
