Most consider it a good thing to leave some fuel in the tank after flying, unless of course you don't plan on flying the model for a while or are going to store it for an extended period of time.

I run Coleman camp fuel and Pennzoil at 32:1, and i do drain the tank, but I do not run the engine dry. Many do not think Coleman fuel is a good idea, but it works very well for me. My point however, is that there are flyers that run regular or high test gasoline for flying, but then drain the tank and run the engiine on the ground only with Coleman and their choice of lube. The object is to flush out the ethanol laced gasoline and replace it with non alcohol contaminated fuel that is stable and will not degrade with time.
