dle 30 won't run
I have a new DLE 30 that I can not get to run. I don't believe I am getting gas (black neoprene lines). I took off the fuel line and tried to blow into the gas nipple on the side of the carb but I can't ,it appears plugged. I have never tried this before but I would think I could blow air in the fuel inlet (I can on my nitro engines). I have a good spark and my fuel lines are correct. any suggestions?

RE: dle 30 won't run
Take out your needles and drip some fuel into them and then put the needles back in your diaphragm is dry and will not pump fuel or a reed it stuck a bit. If you can get at the cab put your finger over the air inlet to seal it and turn the engine over with the ignition off and it should draw the fuel up to the carb. Once you get fuel into it and get the diaphragm wet it shouldn't be a problem any more.

Another way to prime your DLE30 carb. Lossen the big screw that holds the pumping section plate on carb. Blow on the vent line of your fuel tank and it should push fuel up into pumping section ...quickly re-tighten the screw. The carb should be able to pump now. Plus you can always squirt a shot of fuel into the intake part of carb. If that does not do it...PM me your phone number. I will call you. Capt,n

When my plane is parked for a while it's a bear to get going again.
I remove the fuel line from the carb and pull fuel through with my hand pump.
Then squirt some fuel down the throat of the carb with throttle wide open and shes good to go in a couple flips.

RE: dle 30 won't run
Had difficulty startimg my DL when new. Removed the plugs and primed through the plug hole. Just don't over do it. Motor fired a few times and stopped. Then when I tried to restart, it stated right up and has been doing geat since. The carbs are shipped dry and takes a little extra effort to get them primed. Hope this helps.

Ralph, thanks for the offer. You have done magic on two of my G62's I sent you, but I will keep this side carb DLE. Well I got the engine started but it took a while. I added fuel to the carb but it wouldn't start. I added fuel into the two needle holes as was suggested and it wouldn't start. i added gas again to the carb then used my electric starter that I use on my glow engines and after a couple hundred rpm's it started. I ran 2 tanks of gas thru it and started it 4 more times with no issues.
