Default rcexl on fuji

I would like to know if it's possibal to swap out the fuji ignition with a Rcexl ignition? Would it be a simple swap or would I need to swap the magnent or move the hall sensor pickup? The Fuji is a 50cc EI, any help would be helpful, thanks.

Yes, the RC Exl can be used on a Fuji. Worst case is you replace the hall sensor, and you should do that anyway, and have to re-time the engine. Very simple process. [link]http://www.ch-ignitions.com[/link] for the installation and timing instructions.

Thanks T.O.M. I almost sent you a pm asking, after I did a search and saw one post where you stated something like "the best fix for the FUJI ignition is to contact CH", but figured open disscition would be more benifitial for others as well.

I have never had a FUJI \in my hands, so where is the magnet setting in relation to the sensor when the piston is setting at top dead center. That will tell you what would have to be done to mount a RCexl ignition on it.

Better if you could post a picture of hub and magnet with piston setting at top dead center.

The timing hub on the Fuji looks a little different. Probably best to call Terry at CH ignitions

CH put that package together about 2 year ago after so many had problems with EMI with Fuji ignitions.
