Zenoah G38 coil

Hey Guys

I need an ignition coil for a Zenoah G38. If anyone has one they don't need I would be real interested.

Thanks
Ron

You can use your existing spark plug boot and spark plug connector on this new coil

Or check with Ralph here on the groups, He has done a lot of conversions and probably has a few laying around.

Can some one tell me how to install the cap and spring on a G38. Do the barbs on the spring go through the insulation of the plug wire? Then do I just push it through the back of the cap? Will a heat gun make pushing the spring through the plug cap easier?

It works best to run the plug wire all the way through the cap and out the plug end.

The insert the connector into the wire in the proper orientation to connect with the spark plug

Then slip the wire with connector back inside the cap while seating the connector in the top of the cap

Man do I feel dumb, All these years I have been using electric lub and pushing them in from the other end. LOL

I use spit instead of electric lube. Wire pulling soap works well but I usually don't have it near me. Silicone lube is hard to get off your hands.

They can be done either way

Crisco makes for a fair wire pull grease.

I know this is old thread... trying to figure out my G38. Plug wire came out of the coil... anyone have pics/tips on fixing it? not sure if it’s the same as discussed above and thought I’d ask before I break my coil by fooling with it blindly... thanks in advance!
