I know this engine is a Challenge Tool 2.8 (46cc) but what brand of head (cylinder)is it ? It does have 2 rings.

Do you have a website for that engine? Dan.

They have not made engines for at least 10 years now. No website.

Let's try again. Still have not found out what it is. Cannot find any pictures on the net that looks anything like it . Note that the plug faces forward. Help.

Appears to be a closed port 46cc chainsaw cylinder. It looks like the older windowed piston type with one big loop transfer on each side. What I'm fumbling with is the step design of the top of the cylinder and the fact that the spark plug is on the front instead of being on the same side as the carb like most chainsaw engines?

Just dredged this up from 2002

"I think he wants to know who's known to modify and rework Huskie engines for model use.

The answer is Russ Stoltz of Challenge Tool.

You can call Russ during the day at 847-640-8085."

I spoke with Russ about it and sent pictures when I got the engine off RCU about two years ago. He couldn't recall what the cylinder was originally from. A mystery folks ! I have not ran this engine yet as it is new and never seen fuel. I have four of the Challenge Tool engines and they are really power houses and just get better with age. Hope some engine guru out there can shed some light on this. Thanks, Paul
