looking for a prop size for a dle 35 ra going into a gaint scale 80"wing chipmunk ,thank you

I use a 20x8. You can also go with a 19x8 or 20x10

I use a 19x8 zoar on my Escapade!

For the Chipmunk the Xoar19X8 will be your best choice.
I have plans to get a kit to build from Precision cutkits and the DLE 35 is the perfect engine for it paired with a 19X8 Xoar prop, this prop will give it speed and will pull it vertical just fine.

I recentily went with all 20/8 Xoars on my DLE 35 motors after break in. The motors really pull great with this combo . I ran all 19/8 Xoars the first year also but really prefer now the 20/8 Xoars.

I just purchased my first DLE 35 RA for the ESM 74" Corsair. Any tips on this engine for break-in and best run options ?

I have two of these engines. Just follow factory recommendations and you will be fine, just go fly after a tank or two. I use Husqvarna or Stihl Syn. oil @ 32 to 1 and 90-91 oct. non Alcohol blended gas. Run a little on the rich side and keep tuning as your engine loosens up, it will take several gallons to accomplish that.

I am assuming simple unleaded not high octane ?

I also have one of these engines, I've been running it over two years, using Redline oil @ 32:1 turning a 20X8 Xoar prop, regular 87 octane Chevron fuel, no higher.

Like mentioned above, run a tank on the ground to adjust the needles for a reliable flight then go fly the heck out of it, it will be rich but you can start leaning it after two or three flights, also run the prop you're planning to use from the first run.

Use a NGK spark plugs gap at .025

Thanks guys this is all foreign to me, I started to head towards gas 5 years ago and went Giant Electric.
I still fly the epower and it has a ton of benifits, but nothing beats the guys flying gas with ease and length of flight time.
Do I need anything special for mounting to absorb vibration or is there special after market options too reduce vibration ?
The ESM Corsair needs a lot of nose weight so I plan on a larger Life with regulator and a larger flight pack on the nose. Any special precautions to advoid interference between the engine and batteries ?

If you are using a LiFe battery for the ignition, you don't need a regulator. All the newer ignition boxes are rated for direct connection to LiFe or LiPo batteries. The working voltage should be printed on the side of the ignition box.

As far as vibration, few users make any provision for vibration reduction other than the normal prop balancing, etc. A select few do use anti vibration mounts but unless you really know what you are doing, more problems can be created than are solved. Scout around the various internet engine forums and you'll find a few threads on the subject but real experts are far and few between.

I appreciate your patience in your responce. I was thinking of attempting to buffer medal to medal contact with compressed rubber washers ect. However as you have stated Internet research does not reveal this set up so perhaps I am over thinking this set up.
I just have to dig into the build and start posting pics.

I don't want to discourage your attempt to reduce vibration levels! Some people use vibration reducing mounts with great success while others just create additional problems like not being able to keep mufflers attached, throttle servo destruction, etc. I'd fit in the later category as I don't have the engineering knowledge to make a low vibration mount work properly.
