I have one of these engines I am running on a test stand and have even bolted it to a profile katana to check it for fit.

So far the engine has plenty of power to fly the 26cc size katana and will hover it with ease. I hope to post pics soon.

I do sell these engines, so let me know if you have any questions.

Yes so far the engine is still breaking in. It builds more power the more it runs and breaks in.

I have been flying it on a Katana prifile plane with a 63 inch wing span and it will hover the plane at about 3/4 throttle.

I am well pleased with this little motor. I have even started stocking them here in my shop to sell.

I've recently purchased one of the rear carb CRRC 26 but have not started the break-in process. I own two of the side carb 26's and really like them with one in a 90 Funtana and the other in a Goldberg wildstick and they both perform great but not truly 3D capable. I'm anxious to see how the rear carb stacks up against the side carb units. I'll break the engine in on the wildstick. Just out of curiosity, where could I find a profile katana for this engine?

A comparison of specs for the two 26cc engines. Not only does it appear that the rear induction develops more power, but it seems that they also improved the ignition.

SPECIFICATIONS: CRRC GF26i gasoline Engine

Type: 2 cycle piston valves type gasoline engine for airplane.
Displacement(cc): 26cc
Bore x Stroke(mm): 34mm*28.6mm
Dry Weight: 1.165kg/2.56lbs. (With standoffs, muffler and CDI)
Carburetor: Diaphragm butterfly valve type
Maximum Output: 2.42 hps/7200rpm
Speed range: 2100-9000rpm
Ignition: Auto-advance DC-CDI
Iis-Ignition: 4.8V DC
Gasoline/oil mixture: Pre-mixed Fuel, 40:1(25:1 for break in)
Lubrication oil: 2 cycle engine oil
Propeller: 16 X 8, 17 X 6, 17 X 8, 18 X 6
Cooling System: Air Cooled

SPECIFICATIONS: CRRC GP26R engine rear induction

Type: 2 cycle rear induction reed valves type gasoline engine for airplane.
Displacement(cc): 26cc
Bore x Stroke(mm): 34mm*28.6mm
Dry Weight: 1.08kg/2.376lbs. (With engine mount, muffler and CDI)
Carburetor: Diaphragm butterfly valve type
Maximum Output: 3.15 hps/9000rpm
Speed range: 2100-9000rpm
Ignition: Auto-advance DC-CDI
Iis-Ignition: 4.8V-6V DC
Gasoline/oil mixture: Pre-mixed Fuel 40:1(25:1 for break in)
Lubrication oil: 2 cycle engine oil
Propeller: 18 X 6, 18 X 8, 18 X 10, 19 X 6

Has anyone confirmed the specs for the rear induction model?

Breaking in one for a friend. So far 20oz Stihl HP Ultra at 32:1. APC 18X6W, Pitts mffler. Low rpm - 2010, high - 7950. Will be put into QS 72" Yak. Closed the hole in the choke for better first prime. Used sticky back sand paper to make friction disc for prop. So far good running engine. Wish shaft was drilled for center bolt.

Hello, I have this same engine and I cant get it to run good, it wont idle, its hard to start, and revs very slowly. I dont really know much about gas Ive only ever done parkzone electrics so has to be something im doing. It also vibrates quite badly is this normal

How do go about setting the timing on the CRRC? Isn't the Hall Sensor fixed and not adjustable?
Please let me know as we had a similar problem.

Thanks!

I agree with Jody:

CRRCpro engines (all 26cc versions) are much more quieter with this canister muffler.
(Also the DLE30, but enlarging the header intake the same as the exhaust port of the DLE30)

Regards

I purchased a Profile Katana with one of these CRRC 26 engines. I got it 2nd hand. The original owner got it from a person but people are asking if anyone in the USA is selling this combo kit. I saw it listed in the UK but not USA. The original owner tuned the engine and built the kit, but so far, the engine is flying just fine as far as reliability. The throttle linkage arm is a bit funky. The throttle servo needs to have a short arm and I even had to turn down the ATV alot which yields a pretty short throttle linkage movement. Anyone have a clue on the amount of mAh pulled per flight on the ignition battery?

I sell these planes out of my shop. I have flown mine alot and am currently using it to learn 3d on. I am getting ready to order more of these planes if you want one, just send me an email.

I use the CRRC-Pro GP26R rear carb on mine, ( it is one of the engines I sell here in the shop for the folks I do nitro to gas airplane conversions for) and it has MORE than enough power to do anything I want.

Anyone else running one of these?....how do they compare to the V2 version?...i'm soo tempted to get one ...they arevery cheap at the moment...had my old v2 for ages now...only problem was a worn bearing & so easy to replace with superior SKF bearings...now runs better than ever...GP26R as loud?...as smooth ?.

RE: CRRC-pro GP26R 26cc gas engine information thread.

I have the V2 version and have had no luck with mine. It was beleived that a certain handfull of them had the timing incorrect from the factory. Evidently I bought one of the ones that was because mine ran really crappy, vibrated somthing awfull, and would deliver full rpms. I was told it could be easily fixed with a timing kit so I tried that. The engine behave better but still not much power and wouldnt idle. Id like to find somone with more eperience to see about getting it to run right if possible but the guy I talked to that had delt with the same problem on multiple CRRC engine to said he closed his shop.
