Bob Brown For AMA President
Hi all,
Soon you will receive ballots for the election of a new AMA President. I am recommending you look at Bob Brown's credentials so you can make an informed decision. Bob is a Pylon Guy and has many years of valuable experience.

Surprised this forum isn't more active. Does anyone have more information on the candidates other than whats on the Campaign Statement. I sent a email to all three candidates and received a fast responce from Mr. Brown. I ask him how he felt about FPV and said it had room for improvement in the AMA rules. If anyone else has sent questions to any of the members on the ballot sheet please post here for others to see the responce

I believe this thread is not more active for one reason. This forum is about RACING, so since Bob Brown is one of us and supports pylon racing, he should get our collective votes. If you want to talk politics, the AMA forums are all about non-flying, mud slinging, BS and you should visit there and have fun. Tom is a very knowledgeable and connected man in the pylon world, and was making sure we all knew that a candidate of interest was out there for this election.
Notice Tom did not say to vote for Bob, just that we need to all do our homework with all the candidates and participate in the election in this critical time.
Thanks Tom, you made me do my homework!

RE: Bob Brown For AMA President
If this forum is all about pylon racing I am completely fine with that. But when you type AMA Election in google it takes you here. So if its all about racing I would keep it that way not to confuse others. I not trying to be rude but the topic above says Bob Brown For AMA President. Not quicky 500 or viper or racing o tigre or pylon.
Thanks

I am sorry if I offended you in any way, that wasn't my intent at all! [] I was just making a point that a discussion on political issues is more suited to the AMA forums than here. Here is a link just in case you were unable to find it:
[link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/forumid_74/tt.htm]AMA Forums[/link]
There are discussions going about the AMA Elections in general, EVP's, DVP's as well as the President.
Again, I was just trying to point you to where you could find out more, and warn you of the type of content you will find there.
Best wishes,

Not offended, just a brief moment of confusion. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Do you ever come up to Bridgewater Mass for their annual pylon racing? Im normally a spotter and a lap tracker for the event. I am not allowed to race because my viper has a rossi 45 with a jett tuned pipe. I don't even think I would win with that advantage.

I haven't made it that far up yet, but I will be in North Carolina next weekend at the Gold Cup Q40 event. Really look forward to being able to travel more when my last 2 girls graduate high school (1 Junior, 1 Senior! ) and the economy eases to pain on me some. My caller is from up there, so I hear a lot about the races up there from years ago.
Take care,
