The Ultra Portable Pylon now online
The full plans, instructions, and photos for the Ultra Portable Pylon are now online at [link=http://www.pylonworld.com/rc_pylon/course_equipment/ultra_portable_pylon/ultra_portable_pylon.htm]Ultra Portable Pylon[/link].
These pylons are a junior version of the Portable Pylon that is being used at the NATS and many clubs.
To do any real pylon racing or practice, you need some pylons. These are affordable enough for anybody to own personally and can be transported in most any SUV, truck or car.
And they are very easy to build. If you can't carry 10' poles home from Home Depot or Lowes, take your hacksaw with you to the store.
These poles are also great for pattern center poles and box poles. They work great for marking a combat arena, and they are great for limbo and fun-fly events.
If your club does not have room for a 3 pole course, set up a 2 pole course far enough back from the runway that it doesn't interfere with other flying. Make sure to get club approval first.
Get some and go racing.
