Default TT-40 and TT Pro 40??

Have a TT-40 engine and was looking to put it on my Predator for Q-500 racing this year. In looking at the engine I have, compared to the TT Pro 40, there are some differences... the head on mine is round... whereas the Pro 40 engine is rounded, but not round, pur-say, almost square.
Are these the same engines, with maybe a few years difference between them?

Thanks

The Pro 40 is a ball bearing engine, the plain jane (GP I think) is a bushing engine. At least I think that is correct.

This is a .40, not a .42.

Also, the GP 42 is square headed like the TT-Pro 40, unlike the one in question.

Thanks

That is the old GP 40. It is what we old guys call an "FP clone". A nice engine for trainers, or with an 11 X 4 APC prop, for aerobatics with a Skyraider.
