20 years of Midairs
There is a new report up on the NCPL website. It’s actually 21 years but 20 is a better title. Our lead ace has 44 kills.

Not your fault?? I remember one that you yelled at me to get out of your way after chopping off my tail.. I would call that your fault..
You're welcome any time Gary.. However, if you don't bring your good stuff, you'll loose

Yep, it can get a little rough. Things have gotten better since we started staggering starts and spreading out the lanes.
Basically, it has a lot to do with how many races we have. When your looking at this many local races a summer:
6-7 NCPL 500 races
4-5 AMA 428 races
1-2 AMA 422 races
1 Warbird races
1 Century race (100 laps)
And some of us use to fly in another clubs OS 25 races for a few years.
Then add in the fact that many of these guys have been racing since the early 70's.

Well Dave, both of us should have had at least one more a piece after the last OS race you came back for.. I don't know how many times we almost hit in that one heat but it seemed like about every lap around #2 & #3.. On the other hand, it was about the most fun I've had flying the OS class..

Very cool! Thanks for sharing.
My most memorable moment for me was the season before last when I headed for turn one with the pack and after rounding I couldn't get the wing to straighten out. The plane started doing a deathspiral right at me until it fell out of the sky and dug its own grave. Turned out to be a stripped plastic servo horn. When that happens you're pretty much fubar'ed.
