RE: Rossi q500 motor?
Rossi was king before the Nelson came along. There fun, but time has moved on. Really likes to spin. Mufflers and carb parts fall off sometimes, a little heavy as compared to newer stuff.
There legal, because there .40 sized, but look out when those LS's come by. It not good to get vortexed

RE: Rossi q500 motor?
The SS (Short Stroke) Nelsons are very strong motors, but the newer LS (Long Stroke) are slightly faster. Many of the traveling racers have been selling them off to fund newer LS motors. At that level, you can't give away speed and make it up.
I just sold one last week that went for about $160 and was in very good shape.
The SS Nelsons would still eat the Rossi up and spit it out. You do have to be carefull buying the used ones, I've seen some on there that I wouldn't touch. With any high performance motor, they can be abused, so its helpful to know the source.
