Prop on an OS 91 ducted fan engine
Hi All
I know this has nothing to do with pylon racing, but thought it would be the best place to post.
I was wondering if it would be possible to put a prop on an OS 91 ducted fan engine running at 23000 rpm. I was thinking of a 12 inch diameter. If anyone has done this, what prop? Thanks

RE: Prop on an OS 91 ducted fan engine
12" IS TO MUCH PROP.
We are using them on our Warbird Racers and using 11X 10 tru 11 X 12 pending the day. I had one good motor that turned the 11 X 12 until the airplane exploded.......I hate that when they hit the ground.
I would peek around 17K on ground, back up around 16K and they unload a lot in the air. I know the power band is around 20K plus but didnt want to take the props over that without being Carbon. We already have problems with the props coming apart. We have shed tips on two APC 11 X 10's already. After each run, check for hairline cracks nad replace if any sign.
