2009 Tangerines
I hate to say it, but in typical FL fashion, it was in the high 70's and hardly a cloud in the sky... But all was not perfect today. I saw 2 QM's in pieces (I know Rusty hit a tree around 1) and don't know what happened to the other. Looks like it's going to be a great contest. Here are some shots.

RE: 2009 Tangerines
This mornings 8 o'clock start time was pushed back just about 2 hours. The fog welcomed us this morning, but at times, the pilots could see enough to get a practice flight or 2 in. Some pilots used the time to wake-up some more...lol.

Jr hardly working, 424 winners and scores, 428 winners and scores and top 3 with planes. Jr and the Apopka crew did a great job today and look to be able to maybe get 6 rounds of QM in tomorrow. We'll see. Thank you Gary Freeman Sr for calling and letting me borrow the 'Monokote Queen' again with the 'ingesting' SS...lol. Maybe it's a good thing the plug was dead the last round.

That was one of the last heats and was basically the fly-off for first. It was a GREAT race. I forgot to get a pic of Grunks gear after he clipped 3 and ripped it off with no other issues. He fixed the plate and put it back on to fly again.

There were many great races, both in 422 and 424. Randy won and fast time again, Jr was 2nd and Tom Scott won the fly-off with Stephan Vaclav. James Barr won 424 again. Pics and full results a bit later.

Here are a few of the planes. I didn't get down the line to take pics of all of them as I stayed on the starting line to help the pilots that landed short get their planes. As you can see, Grunk didn't want to completely block out the sun with his plane so it's a bit translucent...lol.

424 also raced and put on many of the best races all weekend. Can't beat an equal playing field. Random tach tests were done after the morning test. Pinch is not allowed to peak above 16.5

RE: 2009 Tangerines
422 results, top 3/fast time, the trophies that were handed out, Randy's 1st place and Worlds trophy. It was great to have Nancy Telford out there Saturday and Sunday watching and helping.
