S.A.M. Outlaws Celebrates it's 10th year
What started as a quiet group of guys joining together for some monthly racing fun has now become the 10th full season of the Sacramento Area Modelers OUTLAW races. Monthly races average 15 to 25 pilots in a year long points contest from January to December.
Pilots using the same plane (currently a model tech ME-109), same engine (OS 25), same prop (APC 9x6), and same fuel - where the battle comes down to pilot skill and a whole lot of luck.
I'm proud to say that I have been a part of the OUTLAWS and have made many friends along the way. Most are still around and racing in one way or another.
If anyone is ever in Sacramento and has a chance to spend the 3rd Sunday afternoon at the S.A.M. field you may just happen upon an OUTLAW experience.
