the quality of platinum is very high , contains a percentage of iridium .
colors are only to differentiate the plugs , but are more 'cold of others

No rhodium? Most of the racing plugs I've looked at have contain copious amounts of rhodium AND iridium in the alloy. A few do contain only platinum + iridium, though. Non-racing plugs usually contain rhodium, no iridium. The only exceptions seem to be Cox glowheads (platinum + ruthenium).
