We offer a smoke pump specifically designed to be a smoke pump. Take a look and let me know if you have any questions.

I used this one on my GP Cap 232 with the OS 160. It runs on 6 to 12 volts and adjusts with the end points on your radio. I loved it and could get amazing smoke out of mine. I ran one loop of brass fuel tube around the head and then right into the muffler with a check valve. Sweet smoke.

Wish I could have got a video of the smoke before I got shot down.

I used a 6 volt nimh. I didn't need a speed control at all. I left the link so you can read about it. It's plug and play, adjustable from your radio just like a servo.

I have the same set up, a skywriter smoke pump on a OS 160. Works great. Set the amount of smoke with your endpoint adjustment in your radio.

Agreed........The loop of brass tubing around the head makes it all the better

If this is for a DLE 55 all you should have to do is tap the muffler for a fitting to allow you to attach a line for smoke oil. Add you smoke oil pump and you should be good to go. Gas engines are not like glow and do not need the extra copper tubing in the muffler to give the oil time to heat up.
