Default EG Aircraft

How is the build quality of their planes when compared to the rest of the ARFs out there? Im also considering pilot rc, they seem to have some similarities, such as CF landing gear, tail gear, wing tubes, and spinner, i think they may have some CF throughout the frame if im not mistaken

I HAVE THE 85 CC RAVEN , QUALITY IS VERY GOOD. I WOULD RATE IT AS GOOD AS THE E.F. PLANES I HAVE OWNED.

I'm thinking about the black and gold Slick 540.

I love the scheme.

I have the 50cc EG MX2 and a Extreme Flight Extra and quality is very good on both, essentially equal. I recommend that you go over all the glue joints and reinforce the firewall (Azhar recommended it). Some guys use aluminum angle and screws, I used some graphite cloth and thinned down epoxy. Also, the gas tank stopper needs to be replaced.

I couldnt wait till i got out of work... First of all it was double boxed, and very nicely packed! The plane's covering was flawless and it is constructed like the best of them. Up to par with the high end more expensive arfs ive had experience with.... I ordered it on wednesday it shipped thursday and it arrived here in texas this morning.

I have the 50cc Extra 300 from OMP. I would highly reccomend coating the inside of the cowl with a thin epoxy for added strength, and durability. Replacement cowls and canopy are extremely difficult, if not impossible to get. Otherwise, its a great flyer. my $.02

I also ordered from Aztech-Aero and my Slick 540 is scheduled to arrive this Friday. I too found Azhar to be a great guy to deal with. This going to be fun!

if you alls planes fly any thing like my MX2 you will be extremely satisfied...all the hardware in the kits is good quality and usuable, unlike many arf s out there. The only items i did not use was the fuel tank, i went the water bottle method, and the servo arms, i used secraft aluminum arms

. Not sure if the cg will be the same as you guys, but i went with the least aft reccommended cg at 6"s from leading edge, and the maiden flight was a bit hairy... to begin with it was a bit breezy and a hard crosswind, i had to basically harrier the plane in, not something i like doing, but it was too tail heavy for my taste. so i did a quik fix at the field, my buddy is an A/Cs tech, so he usually has all his tools available,,, so drilled a couple of holes and strapped the ign battery to the engine box, i also moved the 2 2600 lion packs right infront of the fuel tank....in doing this it made the mx2 a pleasure to fly. it lands like a trainer now, and does everything i ask of it

I was thinking about trying the water bottle tank for this plane. Need to get some info on it and build one. I usually put the CG on the wing tube but will check the model when I get it together.

[link=http://www.flyinggiants.com/forums/showthread.php?t=38890&page=57]coke bottles[/link] theres a really nice page on the link there. the reason i went the water bottle route was to get away from the stoppers..... its a pain in the butt changing them anually, especially when you solder copper barbs on the copper tubing. i used these fittings http://www.centralhobbies.com/Fuel/fittings.htm, and some gas sealant available at the local auto parts stores .. heres a pic of my setup... i used the canister mounting wood plates that came with my mx2

On my MX2 using the wingtube to CG would out of the question... the wingtube is about 8 inches from the leading edge, and would make it way aft. your Slick may be different. ive CG'ed other models safely on the wing tube but on MX2 you couldnt get away with it

Ok I can confirm, getting spares for your EG Aircraft seems to be a nightmare, I have an Extra 300 100cc and damaged my canopy. Nothing nada, not even the factory can help it seems. So sad that one must dump a plane due to the lack of spares. Even worse if those aircraft are still in in production and being sold!

Just negative, but she was an AWESOME flyer!
