in their description they mention 'modified vertical fin geometry and offset'. As far as i can see there is no offset at all so maybe they removed the offset. Ive never seen an older version so I can't compare

There is no more offset of the fin on the new CARF kit, Richard and myself tried this many years ago and it worked very well!

In the past you offered decals for the Gee Bee. I am working on a 1/3 scale R-1/2. Do you still offer those decals by any chance?

Sorry no, it´s to much work - the price would be crazy. It´s only for my private use, sorry**

Hello,

Has any one seen the new version?, I have a couple of R2's of the older ones, How much different is the landing gear height and would the new style cowl work on a older kit?

I wish still trying to talk my wife into letting me get one. I am hoping I can catch an old one for cheap. Her reasoning is that I already have a GeeBee, Great Planes Gee Bee. I told her I would sell that one lol. Crazy thing is I have spent about 3grand on planes in the last 6 months lol. I could have purchased the gee Bee

Sooooo I am living vicariously through you guys!!! lol

Is there anybody here who flew the new version GeeBee already? As I mentioned last year I was waiting for my soloshot camera which tracks the GeeBee during its maiden to make a video from it. I’ve just received the camera but it not operating perfectly. I’m sure it gets better after a few software updates. I’ve done a few test taxi runs and OMG,, power of this modi 250 is really unbelievable!!. Now it’s waiting for the perfect day for the maiden flagget,, fingers crossed!!!!!

The plane is out of my financial reach, but I'd sure enjoy the assembly process and your review!

Default New geebee

So here are a few pictures. Perfect quality. The kit is awesome. The new landing gear is a bit longer and even more sturdy but also quite heavy...

They got it listed at $2495, but I don't thinks that includes landing gear and shipping.
