Opinions Please on Plane Selection
I am a 3 year pilot, not real great, but enjoy flying. Not very interested in 3D or stuff like that, just doing loops, rolls, immelmans and the like. My favorite plane to date is a 60 size pulse with a .75 engine it. I usually fly it about 6-9 times per week and am very comfortable with it. I am fine continuing with being a weekend flyer.
I have just finished a 26 cc piper pawnee and have yet to fly it (waiting for better weather) but have come into a few $$ lately and am looking at replacing the pulse with a 20-30 cc size plane and get away from glow altogether. I am not really interested in a Yak or Extra or the "standard' aerobatic planes like those as they are probably more than I can handle and I would prefer a more relaxing hobby.
Here is what I have looked at:
Seagull Spacewalker 2 probably with a 20 cc DLE (available now)
Sig's new Rascal 110 probably with a DLE 20 or 30 (available end of December)
Aeroworx new Bravata with a 30 cc DLE (available in April 2012).
I'm in no super rush, and would like some opinions from some of the guys out there that may have been in this position.
I also considered getting the 125 size pulse and putting a gas engine in it.
Thanks-
Larry

When my kids were in your position a few years ago, they fell in love with my Spacewalker. It would do all of what you list as your preferences yet was very forgiving, When they saw Bucky at the RC hobby Shop in Sugarland put his larger ones through its paces, they were even more determined to use mine even more.
Based on those observaions, My vote would be for the Spacewalker.

Funtana 125 with a DL30. Great combination. Put one together for my grandson and he is entering his 3rd season with it.
Solid plane.......

Hey Steve-
In case you don't know-Bucky is moving -he is opening a new larger store and will have a couple of dirt tracks for cars.
Not too farjust up the road aways.

Can't see where you'd go wrong with any of them. I've got the Seagull Spacewalker II in the box and will build it someday. I agree with Steve... it would be an excellent choice.

the great planes revolver 70 is the smoothest all around loop and swoop plane i have ever flown. air foil tail feathers , balsa covered foam wings, while reasonable light. slow flys better than most trainers but is quite fast due to it's thin wings. read the thread over in the arf section. this will be a "hall of fame" plane some day. that's my 2 cents, capt

Giant Sportster w/30cc is a lot of fun if you're looking for a bigger easy to fly sport plane. I wouldn't totally discount 3D capable planes either. With control throws tamed down some (or a lot!) they can be pretty docile as well. They'll slow right down as well as anything else will if built/set up properly. DLE 20 in about any 120 sized plane you like will be a good combo as well.

Definately the Hangar 9 Taylorcraft, sweet and good loooking, gentle and aerobatic. 30cc flies it well, sure its nearly 600$ but look at the opening door, pilot and customer ratings.
30cc will also do well in the new GP Waco or Warhawk if bipes are considered.
