Default 30cc Aerobat Suggestions

Looking to buy a 30cc Aerobat. I've been flying off/on for 25 years but pretty regularly the last three. I've had a 60 size Aeroworks Edge 540T and a Great Planes revolver, some warbirds and a few go stupid fast planes but now I want a bigger 30cc aerobat to beat on. I'm not a 3D pilot - yet but I do enjoy spirited aerobatics so I need something strong and light?

3D Hobby Shop is out of their 30cc planes at the moment.
Extreme Flight has an Extra but I've never flown an extra before.
I would go with Aero-Works 30cc Edge but I'm just not into the color scheme. Probably the worst I've seen on Aeroworks plane.
A Yak isn't out of the question but I haven't flown one.

What say you?

Based on your apparent penchant for a little speed instead of a lot of "slow stuff". An MXS variant or an Extra variant will most likely be what suits you best (That includes a Slick - which is an Edge with the wings of an Extra)

3D Hobby Shop is out of their 30cc planes at the moment.
Until when? can you wait until then as they make good planes.

Extreme Flight has an Extra but I've never flown an extra before.
They fly well - the Extreme flights are very light.

If ya don't like the color scheme, don't buy it - nothing worse than having a plane you don't like the look of.

I would say - If you enjoy the Edge and the Revolver - see if you can get a SLick or an MXS-R (as BarracudaHockey has suggested)

I have the 30CC Redwing RC MXSR in yellow. Powered by a DLE-30. Fantastic flying airplane and lands like a trainer. They're good people to deal with too.

Well, 3D Hobby Shop won't have any 30cc planes until summer and this may be my new choice. The price is certainly right on it.

Yup, Red Wing sent us one for a raffle prize for our 3D Bowl event, looking forward to seeing it.
