RE: Best 30 to 35 cc
I would go with one of the new rear exhaust engines for sure! If not in too big a hurry, would be nice to know how a few of the new DLE 35R's (rear exhaust) do in the field. That could easily be the new engine to beat?
Hoping the 20cc engines follow suit, start releasing some with the rear exhaust config SOON!

There is a video of the new DLE 35 on youtube. Looks pretty impressive, and it should have more power than the 30cc side exhaust. It all depends on how much you want to spend. DLE is the most respected Chinese engine around where I fly and I am happy with mine. I haven't seen an O.S. 33gt yet but it should be a good one except for the initial price and parts costs down the road. There is one Syssa 30 here and the owner is pretty happy with it so far. PTE, RCGF, SE?? I just haven't seen enough of them to know for myself.

RE: Best 30 to 35 cc
the new DLE35 looks cool, but for the price, i settled for the current rear mounted carb DLE30.
Syssa of course look really cool.
The OS GT33 is probably pretty good, but the cost and the cost of replacement parts crosses it off my list. I dont know why they use a piston sleeve like the glow motors. It runs the price up greatly and I dont see much of an advantage. That's one of the main reasons I love the DLE engines. A piston is 10 bucks. And if the cylinder walls get damaged, the whole cylinder is less than the cost of the OS sleeve (DLE30 piston = $10, Cylinder = $40). Seriously? 70 bucks for a OS sleeve and 60 bucks for a piston? That's crazy. Ive slammed my DLE20 into the dirt, motor first, twice. The first time I just took it apart and inspected it and all was good and ran better than before. The second time I could feel the bearings when turning the crank. I put new bearings in it and, just for good measure, replaced the crank (all for 45 dollars) and she is purrin' like a kitten.
Like mentioned above, I think it kinda depends of what youre going for. And is money an issue?
