Well, here's an authentic one... 70% Staudacher
These pics are old. It's actually finished now but I don't know if it's been flown or not.

whoah! you could almost fly in that! hmm....i just thought of something.....fuselage flying yeah!!!!****
but one thing that kinda bothers me....if you spent the time and money making a working airplane that is 30% size away from being the plane of the scale, then why didnt you just add tha 20%-30% and make it a real plane? it would cost just slightly more, and your already almost there....personally, i think rc is great, but id rather have an actual airplane lol.
**** warning- do not actually attempt flying on the fuselage of a plane.it might be dangerous

As far as I know they haven't flown the 75% yet. It was at TOC, but for display only. I think the guy is having to take out a private insurance policy on the thing. The AMA won't allow anything over 55 pounds I think without a waiver, and a waiver for something that weights 6 times that would probably ve VERY hard, if not impossible to get.

I would be too tempted to get in and that thing for a spin! I agree though......just add 30% and you would appreciate all that time and effort you put into that plane.

I've been told he has about $70,000 in that thing. I've got a friend with a freshly overhauled Pitts with 330 HP that doesn't have that much money in his full scale. It's bound to be sweet when it flys though!

Giant sized aircraft at an unhealthy scale. Don't run that into a house . Imagine that day at the field when your buddy runs his plane into the pit and staging area... yep this would get some attention... Keep up the good work though it is a great effort and I for one love things that are out of the ordinary.
