Default Hanger 9 Ultra Stick 30cc

Has anyone actually been able to buy and receive this airplane?

I've had it on backorder now for a couple of months and every time I look it seems delivery is pushed back a month.

I suspect that Hanger 9 actually hasn't shipped any.

I got mine about 3 weeks ago. It was pre-ordered when the announcement came out. DLE 35 RA for mine on SLOCAN 44 inch foam floats. Flaps and crow make this airplane tons of fun on wheels or floats.

Okay-sounds like they are in production--I'm on a backorder list on two sites---hopefully will come through soon.

Thanks-

I got mine from my local hobby shop.
The kit was poorly packaged and missing the pushrods. These were in a very thin cellophane package and the rods weren't taped together. They easily burst their package and ended up missing. I'm trying to get a hold of Horizon to see if they can replace the missing parts. They are usually pretty good about this sort of thing - so I just need to hear back from them.

received pre-order from first shipment, then decided to build another airframe to run EP setup from parts I had laying around. Surprised to learn that the cost of parts about the same as whole kit so it was affordable to build up another sharing same wings.

Just ordered mine from the local hobby shop (Prop Shop, Warren, Mich.). From the Hanger 9 website, it now appears I'll need to wait 'til the end of May for delivery. Prop Shop owner told me the first four 81" Ultra's he received were sold almost immediately.

I currently fly the older H9 version (73" I believe). It's the one with the see-through yellow covering. Powered (overpowered it !!) it with an O.S. 1.20AX 2-stroke. The airframe and covering are now so old it requires a lot of maintainence.

Hope this new 81" version performs as well as my 73" version.

I'm planning on using a DA 35cc on mine. And of course, the DA 35 is now backordered everywhere. Oh well.................

Default Received mine

I got mine about 3 or 4 wks ago. It was missing a pushrod. Called for the push rod over 2wks ago and haven't received it yet. The covering has some scuffs on it. The quality of the build looks good. I am trying to put a Zenoa G26 on it. The mounting plate is to wide. I had to drill new holes in the plate. If I didn't already have the motor I would have gone with DLE.

Got mine about a month ago. Smart-Fly Power Expander with onboard ignition and fail-safe pin/flag switch. Savox 1258's all around (except for throttle). 3-2100 Mah LiFe batteries. Elevator servos in the tail, as I have a DLE 40-twin in the nose. Maidened it this past weekend. Flies beautifully!!

Does you-tube count as "step by step"? If so, please google "DX18 Crow".

No, this is not what I intended. I want a written step by step list of how to set up crow. I have watched all of these videos on youtube and they do not come to close to what I would like to see.

Here's a DX18 step-by-step video crow setup video. If you pause after each step, you can write it down and share the written version for others.

cheers
