Lanier 40% airplanes
Since no one answered I'll give my two cents. I have seen one fly and it was awsome. I think it was
DA-150 powered. The site of it hovering with the tail 6" of the ground has to be seen to be believed.
I hope you understand what you are getting into. The 40% birds I've seen cost about $10,000 to
get in the air. You should go to the downonthedeck web site. These guys know about the big stuff.

Trust me,I know.I've got 3 33% airplanes LOL.The lanier does look like the easiet and less painfull way to get into a 40%.Most other kits I've considered top a grand just for the plane.I did some quick calculations and think about 5-6 grand will get the plane finished.I am however going to wait and see what happens with the Dave Patrick 40% edge.

How much are you willing to invest? I've got a Lion Air 40% 300L, and you can get a new one from Aircraft International for $2,195. It is pretty much an almost ready to cover. It's a fiberglass fuse, and traditional foam cored wings and stabs. The control surfaces are double beveled and sanded. All you really need to do is hinge it, and cover and paint it. Here's the link: http://www.aircraftinternational.com...la40ex300l.htm
The plane is light. Mine will tourqe roll at 1/3 throttle with a fairly new 3W150. It's still not broken in all the way yet.
