Biplane Kit for a G-62
For my Giant Scale career, I built a Bud Nosen p-47 years ago, then a scratch designed and built 110 inch high wing trainer. Now I would like to build a Big Bi-plane and can't seem to find one. ARF's ARF's everywhere. Anyone know where I can get a modern style Biplane kit. Like a Pitts special, Christian Eagle, Smith miniplane or even an Ultimate that I can bolt this G-62 in?
Thx,
Brian

Contact Precision Cut Kits, they have some great bipe kits that you may be interested in. I bought the Hostetler Liberty Sport last year at Toledo, It's still sitting in the box. The wood is great. The Hostetler Skybolt is sweet.

You might want to check with other individuals that have build the Weeks Solution from PCK. I'm almost finish with my Solution X from PCK and the experience has not been a good one. Also, while a G62 will fly the plane it will be a bit under power. A ZDZ60 or ZDZ80 would be more appropriate. I'm using the ZDZ80 on my Solution. Great flying plane once you get through the building process.

Miles Reed Weeks Solution X is a very good combo for the G62-- not sure about the others. It has a ton of wing and tracks and floats like a champ. It is not a 3D beast but them most biplanes are not either. He also has a 70" Challenger III (Sean D Tucker's modified Pitts) that I am fitting a Taurus 3.2 on, but a G62 will also work fine. Plans are now through Dave Dressecker as Miles has retired. I have his email if you are interested.

RE: Biplane Kit for a G-62
Thanks for the tips everyone, The Weeks Solution looks like just the ticket. The only "kit" I have been able to locate is from SI Models [link=http://www.simodels.com/33/33solution.htm]http://www.simodels.com/33/33solution.htm[/link] I am still trying to get ahold of someone there. If I have to, I will go from plans alone, but it would be nice to get at least a short kit to start from. Anyone have a suggestion here?
Thanks again,
Brian

I have a partially completed 1/3 scale Christen Eagle Kit for sale. Has f/g cowl, aluminum landing gear and good two-place canopy. The wings are built, the tail feathers are complete and the fuse partially framed up. I would consider a trade or sale. Let me know if you are interested. Thanks, Skip ... [email protected]
