An update...the heli is sitting on my garage floor awaiting the maiden flight. I want to test the systems before I invest gobs more hours in detail and paintwork. I can't begin to explain how much this heli intimidates me! The first flight should take place on Sunday the 7th. There will be photo and video coverage, which I'll be sure to post.

Awesome project! That's the first giant scale heli I've seen that didn't use turbine mechanics.

Excellent news folks, she flew! It was the equivalent to taxiing a plane for a long time and doing a short flight without leaving the confines of the runway....it was only a bit of hovering, but that is flight in my book! Many details to sort out, but soon she'll be fully beating her way around the sky!
