Default New giant underway

It's wings aren't fixed, but it's a giant aircraft nonetheless. My new 1/3 scale project has been underway for a couple months now, but I haven't announced it until today. Enjoy!

Well shortman, I must admit that I am very disappointed. Yes, I realize this is an airplane forum, but I figured that anyone with an appreciation for giant scale aircraft would appreciate seeing this project. Evidently, there is no reciprocating affection for helicopters, and I was afraid someone might post what you did. Since it is apparently inappropriate to share this link in here, I have edited my initial post. As you were...

I would have liked to see it! I'm an airplane guy. The forum says Aircraft. I thought a helecopter was an aircraft. Maybe I'm wrong.

I realize this forum falls under the "airplane" category, but you're correct...it does say "Aircraft," and a helicopter is an aircraft, thus why I posted. Had it said "Giant Scale Airplanes", I wouldn't have posted because that would have been inappropriate. But apparently, it's still not worthy. I've PM'd you with the link to the project rdcracer. And for anyone else who would like to see it, please PM me and I'll gladly provide the link. I don't wish to get anyone else's underwear in a wad.

Looks like I was one of the lucky few that got to see that beauty. Wish I had the funds for a beast like that. Big helis are hard to find in the states. Is there a AMA weight limit like on airplanes? I spent some time talking to Don from Planes Plus this weekend about his Turbine heli. Could you imagine a turbine in something that big. That would be awsome.

Greg, post it back up there man. If he doesn't like it then to hell with him. It's a Giant Aircraft, I don't care if it's a heli or a submarine for god sake. It is Giant and it is by that word alone cool and therefore should be shared

I host most of the pics and videos of the Giant B-52 on our Scale Helicopter server and have a post there dedicated to it so damnit shortman can deal with a heli post in here [>:]

Mwahahahaha

EDIT: Ok ya beat me to it

I don't mind at all Doug, thanks for chipping in.

For what it's worth, the engine manufacturer Partner, is owned by Electrolux, who also owns Homelite. The engine has zero stickers/stampings on it, so I don't have an exact model #. I am going by what the kit builder tells me until he sends me the engine paperwork.

This is NOT my heli flying, but rather a video of one flown by the kitbuilder, in Austria:

Hey Matt, I'm a fellow Virginian, spent my youth growing up in Arlington. Good to have a contact up there in case I have a referral to give out. Business has kept me too busy to make any progress on the heli. I'm off to ATL tomorrow to close one, and I have to do a quick turnaround to close another back in Bham before 5. Don't ya just love the end of the month?

Dan is closer to the mark, and as you all know, what is not easily quantified is the labor. I don't kiss and tell however, so please don't ask me how much I paid. The kitbuilder Martin Sollner would be more than happy to quote a price to you, www.scale-heli.at.
