Default 2.6m drops a wing

how come my new comp.arf 2.6 it seems to want to drop a wing when I do a wall. My first one was never like that, my first would do nice axial rolls, and the new one wants to cork screw any thoughts?

Un even throws on the elevators? Do you have the differential in the ailerons?

CG is different than the last one? Weight is heavier?

check for warped wings. these things are not all perfect

but it sounds like your elivator throws are not equal.

I feel like I have tried to get the same throw out of each elevator. I also have tried to balance it laterially, the right wing drops and on the balancer I did add weight to the left wing panal. I do believe my first one was lighter, I got one when the Shulman was a requested one and the wings were different. My throws on the radio are different percents but I believe with a throw meter they are the same up and down, ailerons. When I slide the wing panels together the anti-roll pins do not line up but I believe that when I slide them on the fuse, that the roll pin holes corrects this?

do you think an aft cg would make it more likely to drop a wing?

My CG was exactly 1.25" behind the spar and it didnt show any signs of wing drop, just watch my vid you can clearly see it does very nice walls. I am curious as to why your is doing this, are you adding power when trying the Wall? Getting a short blast of thrust over the elevators?

Johny,
I had a similar problem with a 29% aeroworks edge. I have tried all of these suggestions, checked and set all of my incidences & balances. Nothing cured my right wing drop with a hard elevator pull/push. I finally came upon an article for TOC airplane setup. What I discovered was that I could easily get rid of this by getting rid of most of the right engine thrust. It seems that at least this competitor set up his airplane to fly like a full scale & programmed small right rudder with power up & left rudder with power down and set his engine thrust to 0 degrees. I tried with & without the mixing and both prevented the right wing drop as long as there was little or no right engine thrust. The mixing only helped to improve the upline/downline flight. I bet this will cure your problem.

Sorry man but that's just not good enough

The only way you can make sure your throws are equal is to tape long rods (dowel) on your elevators
and make the ends to come and meet behind the rudder. This way you can tell if the throws are equal
and also if the elevators are tracking the same up and down.

I was droping a wing also on mine but after I fine tuned the elevators and moved the cg back the thing walls great.

After flying my 2.3M some, it sure enough drops a wing (Left side) upon quick application of up (or down) elevator...I first thought is was a too far aft CG, but this is not the case. I checked elevators, but will do a long dowl to double check them...IT even does it on low rates, While doing a moderate speed tight loop......

I have not checked lateral balance yet ( I dont bother unless it flys bad)...the left wing could be way heavy, but if it isnt, Im stumped, lol

If it drops a wing on a loop then it's the lateral balance. I needed 2ozs on the right wing tip to eliminate
this tedency on my 2.6.
