My 3m Comp-ARF Extra ready for maiden
Well, my Composite-ARF 3m Extra is ready for its maiden flight tomorrow, and I am just a little bit nervous [:@]
I finished it up this afternoon and ran the eninge (DA150). It took a lot of flips to prime the engine, but I am running a very large and thick fuel line, and an automotive style fuel filter, so I guess that's why. Once the engine was running, it ran like a charm. I found out, that with a 32x10 prop, you really need to iddle down very low before there's not a significant pull on the plane he he. Anyway, here are a couple of pics of my inside set-up and the plane ready to crank.

UPDATE - Well, it didn't fly today, hopeflly tomorrow. I had what I first thought was a "regulating switch" problem, but it mysteriously went away. Everything was working fine and a started my range chack. The right Rx checked very well, the left Rx checked like crap, both Rx's together checked like xtra bad crap, not even 100 yards proably with antenna extended. I just ran the engine foe a while at the field and packed it up.
I have two new Rx's in the plane now and will make another attempt tomorrow.

Jens,
It looks great all put together, the elevator half you showed me at the field was nice but it's a lot more impressive on the plane. I also like that a guy with a foriegn accent picked a plane with the American flag.
Why don't you do the maiden at the Basin since you have had such good luck there with other planes?
Let us know how it goes and when it will be up for sale.

Here's a pic of Jens with his Giant Extra and my Mini Extra, (yeah, I fly a Wildhare Extra, hence the color scheme on the Mini Extra)
By the Way, Guess which Extra Jens flew today
