Diablotin XL
Hi guys!
Does anyone have any experience with this plane? I am thinking of scratch building myself one from CNC or laser cut parts. What motors are You guys running? servos? Weight?
Thanks in advance

RE: Diablotin XL
Boogie,
I've had a couple of these, and liked them both. The first had a zdz40rvl with header and KS can, nice plane, enough power, very light flying. The second had a DA50R w. DA muffler, lasted 12 min before locking out and diving in from 400', that was my $700 Sunday he he. With both engines I found it hard to get CG back to where I wanted it, but I do like these types of planes as a pig ha ha. I thought the perfect engine for this plane would be the BME55Etreme, if it ever becomes a reality, one 5945/8411/8611 per aileron and elevator half and an 8611 on rudder, a 4400 Li-Ion and a 2200 Li-Ion and you'd have a very light DiablotinXL.
I would be interested in the plans and/or a kit if you decide to make them. You could shorten the nose moment and use a DA50R. The rudder could also need to be enlarged - because of the very long tail moment, it can be hard to bring back in a hover when starting to fall off.

DKjens:
I was rather thinking of using either a 3W or ZDZ 50 sized and no-digital servos.I'll think about enlarging the rudder then.
Kits? Kits? You want kits. No way. I just want to have fun and play with them myself (although I know that I'll probably build 3 of them, sell 2 to get money for the equipment). I ma trying to find somebdy who could kit my own design- .25 3d plane.
I am going to modify the plans then- You will surelyy get them.
