How did they manage to steal it?? A larger scale aircraft is a little harder to throw in your car and go... I'm sorry man that's aweful

I had answered your other post location; so two planes were stolen at the same time ? As sound as I sleep and when I camp out at our field, I usually place my planes in the clubs shelterhouse; guess I'll sleep on a picnic table with them chained to my ankle.

Wow, that sucks... I doubt they'll make it far, someone ought to spot them shortly... especially as there are what, 10 custom WH 300LX custom scheme's out there and most of the people who are interested in them are also forum hoppers... they'll have seen it.

I'll certainly keep an eye out at the local hobby stores, it could have gone out of town... but i doubt it'll make it to Houston from lexington []

Please post if you find this low life. I'd sleep better once I know justice has been served. Good luck with your search.

Too bad these things can happen to this hobby of ours. I myself have the tendency of not being cautious about the possibility of my stuff being stolen while I'm fying my plane specially when I go alone to the field. I'm pretty sure whoever did this are not involved to this hobby as we modelers know how it is to build and own a model like this... but who knows. Unfortunately, model planes appearance unlike cars can be easily changed so as to avoid being traced out. They don't have license plate and body nos. either. It somehow makes me have a second thought of leaving my radio to the impound board whenever I'm not using it as I may not be able to use it again.

Have you contacted your home oweners insurance? If you have it, they may pay for the theft providing you have filed a police report.

i dont see how any of this means he lives in squalor maybe he just has room mates. you ever have a room mate. sounded to me like he has a pile of money tied up in his plane/gear.

i dont live in squalor i own a 5 bedroom house on a little more than a half acre on the coast of WA, i love my house, where i live etc. etc. and i dont have that kind of money in my gear. we all make choices as to our life styles. so i see the problem here that he was ripped off not that he shares an apt.

i do share an apartment makes rent real easy and i do love to fly airplanes and doing so i saved up part by part and got a wh extra in the air i dont think that was some kind of over kill that 28% extra is the largest plane i can afford and hangar while i go to school i will be saving up and getting another back in the air
]
and a stolen airplane is a big deal 2 in this case although not the end of the world it was my plane and it being stolen isnt just a slap on the wrist its more like some one walks strait up to ya and puts a haymaker right on the nose .

You might check with our AMA I thought that we have insurance for theft with them also as part of our yearly dues. I think that they want a police report though. I would give them a call and make sure either way it would be good to know. Sorry for the loss.

Hey Kraus,

Let's see pics of where you live and the manner in which you place priorties so we can all be equally judgemental. But of couse, none of us could be nearly the authority on the way things should be as you are.

Hopefully, you're not so obtuse that you won't be enlightened with the implications alluded to within this post.

I had my transmitter stolen and the AMA covered it. $100 deductible. Send them an E-mail and they'll mail you a claim form.

If you look just under my name, I am a 'super contributor'. Legend? No. I admit I'm generous at times. For instance, I might let folks watch me put away my plane or watch me have a Pepsi. And out of politeness, I let them say hello to me. Yes, it is tough being great. I'm to rest now.

From the guy who said 'His spelling is horrible; the 'I' is never capitalized. If they'll let him in, he should visit what's called a 'library'.', comes the word 'Lengend'. Sorry, you're not as great as we thought you were. We might say hello to you out of politeness but thats pretty much it. Sorry dude.

Anyway, still feel bad for you Mike. Tell us if you find your plane won't you?

Super contributor is a direct result of how many posts you make. It's up to the member to make either worthwhile posts or total BS. Yours are better associated with the latter
