Default 70% Stadaucher

I was browsing through the internet and came across this...

http://www.bktsi.com/powerflite/staudacher.htm

I don't know if you've seen this before, but I thought I'd post it anyways. It's by far the largest model I've ever seen before. Its powered by a 60h.p. 2 cylinder HKS 700 Ultralite aircraft engine.

I'd doubt you'll ever see a video of that plane flying. It's been out there a couple of years at least and so it's all talk.

I bet he's afraid to fly it. Considering what he spent building it, I would be too!

That and the AMA won't back him at all because of how huge it is. I know I'd want insurance if I flew a 300 pound plane for the first time....

I doubt it's all talk and I doubt the owner is afraid to fly it. However, I believe the owner has multible other giant scale aerobatic planes, which he enjoys and flyes, and is not in any real hurry to get the Staudacher in the air. Because of the size of the Staudacher and what that all entails, many arrangeements have to come together at just the right time, for this plane to be flown, and it will happen some day, I'm sure.

He's a friend and not afraid to fly anything!!!! Think about the liability if too many looky-loos get in the way. A couple of weeks ago I got the thrill of watching him and Chip Hyde flying their 40% Yaks at our little old field. He just about stopped the TOC when he rolled it out of his trailer a couple of years ago. He is a craftsman to the nth degree and is always willing to help anyone with any problem concerning RC, new or old in the hobby. Hope you all get the opportunity to meet him and watch him fly some day, he puts exhibitions on all over the midwest, and usually stops the show.

Good God!! I was just kidding around. This should have been a clue What we need is another smiley option where the smiley is holding a sign that says J/K on it. It could be the "Official RCU Smiley Denoting A Lame Attempt At Humor Which In No Way Denotes Slander Libel Or Any Other Verbage Which One May Remotely Consider Demeaning Or Offensive".
