Has any body got some photos of the sig rascal 110 with a G26 on it. I want to see how bad the cowling has to be cut up before I buy one. any help would be great.

Here are some pics of a G26 mounted on the Rascal 110 -- I have not got my pitts muffler for it yet (just ordered it), with the pitts muffler looks like the majority of the left side of the cowl can be saved -- the right side will have a large portion of it removed for the card clearance, basically like the manual shows. As far as power the G26 absolutely rocks on this plane -- I am running a 18X6 prop on it and turing roughly 8400-8600.
You have to trim the top corners of the mount to get teh cowl to clear and line up properly but other than that it was an easy install -- I also mounted a HS-81 servo on the firewall for the throttle

RE: photos of sig rascal 110 cowling
I tried the Saito 1.80 and that engine just has too much vibration!! I balanced prop and spinner; but the muffler still kept vibrating off the engine. I even used some JB Weld to hold the muffler on, but the metal just cracked from vibration. I even sent it back to Horizon to check crank shaft and bearings. They said the crank was OK, and installed new bearings at no cost. I have not run it since its return from Horizon. I am now going with the Saito 1.50 for the Rascal 110. The stock muffler requires cutting away a notch in the firewall which I refuse to do. So I found a smaller, after-market muffler for either the Saito 1.80 or the 1.50. This special muffler is available from a guy in Zachary, LA called TurboHeader. This will fit under cowl, and no cutting of the firewall will be necessary. You can find him by Googling "TurboHeader".
