Slingshot,
The plans were delivered in less than two weeks. Unless the plans were revised I would suggest reading over the build project on the AMA web site. As I recall it's found in the publication tab. When I built mine the plans indicated the wing had no dihedrial and I cut the cores as per plan, about two months later when the build article was trammimg the plane in, the article stated the top of the wings were level. I emailed Mike Hurley and the next day correction was posted on the AMA web site therfore I believe all errors will be addressed there.

As far as modifications, I made my rudder removable for transportation purposes.

This project is continued from last year.....I've had a delay in it....but ti's back on track now. It's a 46% Giles G-200 originally built by Frank Knoll........wrecked by a club member and being rebuilt by me. Here's a link to my rebuild thread....and some pics to go with it.

Here is my winter project a Lanier 40% Edge 540 . I started working on it yesterday. There were three formers missing so I had to make then up as I went along. I hope to have the fuselage ready for covering by Sunday evening.

Robeto,
I have no doubt that you will make a mold for a 40% and build your own someday. Your many talents are to be commended. I would like to learn more about composite construction so I can repair my Comp-Arf Extra 2.6 when ever I damage it. Keep up the good work. I enjoy reading your posts and looking at the photos.
Buena suerte amigo.

The surfaces are small for 3D type flying especially the elevator.

Here are 2 pics of the planes I am trying to get ready for the St. George Fun Fly in late Feb. Both are 1/4 scale. One is a Sopwith Pup and the other is a 1/4 scale DVII. Just had to have one from each side of the war. Now...How to get them both in the air at the same time for photos. The pup has a Saito 150 Four stroke. The Fokker has a US. 41 gas. The pup is an old Jamara kit, while the DVII is scratch built.

Thanks Roberto,
I an going to use Hitec HS 5995s for the ailerons and evevator. For the rudder I have a Seiko PS-050 on it's own power supply . I have a DA- 150 for power and a 32 x 10 Mejlik prop with a TruTurn spinner . Lipo's for the radio gear and ignition. I also plan to use some type of power distribution system don't know which one yet. I have just about every thing but the covering.
Just have to pick out the color scheme. Tomorrow I start on the wings.
Take care.
jef
