Should be a good combination. We are currently putting one together now with that exact engine. This motor was in an old H9 330L and it pulled just fine. I will update you when it is completed.

I have over 70 flights on mine with the single 8611 servo in the tail and no troubble to speak of. If you are tail heavy and need the weight up front go for the pull pull setup. Otherwise it is a waste of time cuz you will replace the servo weight with lead.

Yeah, I don't really want to make those modifications. I was thinking of going with a BME 110, but I'd have to make some modifications not only to the plane but also the spinner backplate which I don't want to do. With a DA 100 or even a 3W 106 I could get a spinner for half the price already cut for that engine plus I'd have the prop bolts to hold the prop in place. And plus, make no modifications to the airframe.
