I have been talking to a friend that did some research on the Composite-ARF 3.1 Extra and he noticed that allot of people are paying special attention when routing their receiver antenna in the airplane. I heard of some losing their airplane because the of the carbon fiber inside the airplane interfering with radio. Some would only get about 25 feet power off range check.
All you 3.1 owners, are you having issues with radio interference because of the carbon fiber inside and what are you doing to solve this?
Yak 3.3 owners, are you guys having the same problems??

When I first set mine up I had the antenna running inside the fuse. I had problems with spotty lockout using this set up. Once I changed the antenna routing to the way the instruction manual shows All my problems when away. The antenna wire runs along the carbon X brace, then out the top of the fuse just behind the canopy.

Im using Futaba 9Z with Dual Rec. 149DP's her is a shot of my ant. routing. as you can see they are parallel with each other and they dont touch any carbon or any part of the fuse totaly suspended.

After today I have aprox 209 flights with out a single issue, I get 175+' of Ground range and a very solid link...

I have heard of the issues also and I was a bit nervos as well, but so far it is fine...Remember there are many factors of a glitch not just ant. routing...
