Default 50cc Pitts S-12 ARF

Hello,

I think I have found my next ARF project. I called Aerotech today for a new set of wheel pants for my Velox and in the conversation I asked about what was the next ARF project. They indicated they are in the design phase of a Pitts Model S-12 68" Bi-Plane designed around a 50cc gas. No release date but they hope to have it ready to test fly in June. I know what to ask Santa for.

That sounds about the same size as the Goldberg Pitts Arf.

Hello,

I just looked at Tower. Its smaller than what they might come out with. We shall see.

You are correct. I was pulling the dimensions from memory. I turned the 58" bottom wing into the 68"......my apoligies. A 50 cc pitts 12 would be awsome!!!

Yup it would....I might be interested in new kits if they could first deliver their existing kits.

apologies....didn't intend to hijack this thread.
In response to the original post...I'd love to see a 50cc pitts in kit form. We need more kits available on the market!

I understand the working hard bit....we all do. But I find it hard to justify repeatedly telling a customer X product will be delivered on X day and then repeatedly telling the customer "sorry, but we've pushed delivery back again". I understand there are always delays and problems that pop up when trying to deliver a product....and have been patient through 4 different "delivery" dates. At some point they'll push the delivery date back too many times and start having customers cancel orders.

Hello,

Yes I agree but it happenes to every manufacturer. I have been victum of this from Hanger 9 to Extreme Flight. We waited almost a year for a YAK. I have bought 5 planes from them and the service have been excellent. All I can say from my experience is they are straight up and always have taken care of me when I need something. Just to get back on topic. A 50cc Pitts S 12 would be a great addition to the modeling market I believe.

Thanks
Dave

I'd get rid of my any of my other 50cc planes to get a 50cc Pitts 12. I sure hope this is more than rumor...

I havne't really looked at 50cc size planes that much.........would you be able to put a 50cc in the goldberg 1.20 size kit? Without destroying the cowl

No, too big and heavy. Maybe a 40cc, and thats a big maybe. The MVVS 1.60 (26cc) is a better choice.

I'm assuming this will not be an American built model, but one being done at the same place as the 50cc Velox? How's the quality on that one (Velox)? I know his ARFs that he builds here are first rate.

I could be interested in either a solid color option or ARC version. Of course I would like to see a bit larger wingspan version from someone.
