Lanier 35% Giles datum line?
Think my incidence is off a tad.
I checked it today with a lazer Robart and it showed a 1 deg difference between the stab and main wing but I don't know which is off without the datum.
Bought the plane used and have no plans.
Thanks in advance!
Mike

Incidence
Hi Mike,
I can not remember the datum line but if I remember right, put a level on the top of the fuse (hatch off) and level it out. The Incidence should not be off on the Giles. There were 3 of us working on setting up the incidence on that plane one Saturday night using 2 levels and 3 Robart incidence meter's. Check with Ron again, I gave him the planes when I sold him the plane.

Block up the fuse so that it is level. Put a level along the canopy rail (where the canopy rests). Use an incidence meter to set the stab at 0 degrees. Once this is set you can check the wing in relation to the stab. Both should be set at 0 degrees. If the wood circles (inside the fuse) that go over the antirotation dowels are attached and the incidence is off, you will need to add or remove material as neccessary to get the incidence correct.
