Mezlic vs Biela 22/8
I need some input on which one is the strongest, or best, & why. Which would you use for IMAC, & which would you use for 3D. Thanks in advance.

ah---
This is where a lot of fantasy is put to rest -
Just because two props are labeled th same --the performance can be extremly differet --OR th rpm at which performance occurs can be extremely different
I test using static and in flight rpm- my engine records highest in flight rpm and by simply doing some typical flight tests - I get to see what is really happening .
22x8 Mejzlic- 7790 on the ground and 8340 in the air - last week on 90 degree day -
Whoa - kinda fast rpm
so I swap to Bambula 22x8
6700 and 7600
Now the noise is really reduced and the plane still flies about same speed.
But recovery from hover goes soft--
You may want to save a buck -by buying the right one first .
Nice idea - but not likely possible .
My tuned pipe setup is likely different than what you you will be using -
So my numbers mean little to you .
For any decent 50cc aerobatic 3D performance - prop for 6500 rpm minimum -on a model of about 15-16 lbs.
If you can - get a snappier setup - say 7000 static.
I have a large inventory of Mejzlic props and they are my favorites for most stuff
Other brands -as long as they are stiff -NO flex and run in the power band suggested can work very well -maybe even better than mine --

The Beila has more load, quiter, and better looks.
The Mej has Higher Rev's, more efficient.
It also depends on that engine/muffler you are running too. I have a Brison and I like the beila, but I want a Mej. I got the 32X8 and it is too much for the Brison, willing to trade it if anyone wants to for a 22X8 Mej or Beila.

I haven't done the comparison with the 22x8 props, but I have with the 27x10 props on a 3W-106. The Biela is noisier than the Mejzlik in the air. The Biela is more prone to ripping. The Biela is a lighter prop so it accelerates quicker and is much better for 3D. Either prop would work well for IMAC, but the Mejzlik would get more noise points. The downline braking on the Biela seems a little better.

Thanks for the input fellas. I will probably go with the Mezlick 22/8 for my Brison 3.2.
Dick Hanson,
So you do outside work for other people fitting exhaust systems to a particular engine? I want to fit a cannister to my Brison 3.2, but the header is not readily available from anyone. If not, can you direct me to someone who can?

Torq,
Check the EF YAK thread, BBriBro did it and the info is in the thread. If I remember right you need a special header that DA will make with a 3w end on it. He said it worked great.

Torq,
BBrio hooked me up with DA and they made me a header. They used a 3w 100cc flange. The bolt holes will need to be opened up .5mm or so to get the bolts to mate up (5minutes with a rat tail file). I put the same header set up on my Taurus 52 as well. It is well worth it.

It's a stupid question so I apologize in advance.
How do you get RPMs in the air?
I sounds dangerous

I know that, but the Beila's are painted so you cant see the weave. Anyway torqmeister, you have plenty of power so I dont think what prop you use will matter. In that case I would get the one that looks the best. In you case that would be the Beila. Hell, you could put a paint stick on there and it would still hover!
