Default Another great home for our new 75-85cc singles

I've been talking with Sammy at aviation models. They will be introducing
a 33% Yak to be shipped most likely sometime in Dec or no later than Jan.
The specs are wingspan:95" fuselage:85" wingarea:1755 sq in (113dm2).
The flying weight on the model being tested is around 20 lbs using a 3W 75CC
single. To me that is VERY light for a plane with 1755 sq in wing area. However,
they are trying to make it even lighter (somewhere in the 18lbs to 19lbs range).
The plane should be awesome with the new 3W 80 single or one of the ZDZ 80
singles. A light twin such as the BME 110 will be awesome as well. They will also
be offering several new color schemes to choose from as well as plain white and
ARC. I can't wait for this plane as I am sold on Yaks after flying my 30% Yak for
6 months. To me the 33% size is perfect. They offer the performance of a 35% but
can more easily fit in my SUV and will perform great with less expensive engines.
I really like their red, white and blue scheme. Sammy is also a great person to do
business with.

They have a web site, but the proposed 33% Yak is not advertized on it yet.
They currently have a 30%, 35%, 37.5% and a 40% in production.

Will the orange one be a stock scheme and do you have more pics of it?

The orange one is one of their stock schemes. They will be offering
more schemes as well as custom schemes. The picture below is a
modified version of the orange scheme on their 30% Yak.

Here are a couple pictures of the actual 33% in the orange scheme.

He is implying that he stole the design from someone else, all that is old news, I am glad to see new products that are great for a reasonable price. Colombo, did they mention a price for the 33%?

Oh I get it every plane in the future, built even remotely close to the ef is a "lifted design"...I guess QQ's Yaks and Chip Hyde's Yak are also lifted as well??? Well its only logical to think since they are manufactured in the same factory as the EF stuff is...

I am glad to see new productes being made...they are a very good value as well as they fly great...not to mention they are in stock most of the time..

Then dont do business..but as far as ethics are concerned is there "ANY" manufacturer paying Royalty to the people who's design's we copy, say Walter Extra, Red Bull, Patty Wagstaff, Giles, just to name a few? Seems this is a can of worms that no manufacturer has the right to patent a RC model, hell it appears everyone is copying everyone in some way or another...construction technique you say??? Once a good method is developed everyone jumps on board...in the town where all these planes are being made you have entire families working in the different factories, people talk and also share there ideas with the other companies...

I think there are bigger issues at play, and its non of my business what goes on in China...Bottom line if your not supporting Carden, or Aerotech you are supporting the Chineese...period...how loyal is that to our American people? If you cant roll with the big dogg's you better stay on the porch...

And taking incessant potchots and hijacking threads here on RCU is ethical business?

Crying once gets sympathy. Crying twice gets empathy. Crying thrice gets apathy. Crying for the nth time gets PEOPLE REALLY ANNOYED.

If anything, it's having the exact opposite effect of what you're trying to achieve. It makes me want to stay da heck away from the company you promote.

Sammy at Aviation Models seems like a really good guy to do
buisness with from my personal experience so far. As for the
arrival date of the 33% Yak, he has indicated sometime next
month.

The stabs look too small for the plane, and the cowl inlet looks very small too... nice scheme though.

I wonder how it will compare to Chip's $695 price?

Well, the 35% is $949 and the 30% is $639 so if you split the difference my guess is that it will be
in the ballpark of the chip hyde plane ~$750 maybe? Just a guess though.

Actually they are in ballance with the rest of the Yaks out there, it dont take as much elev as you might think, just take a look at Chips CapX..thoes are way small but very effective.

Chips Yak is getting a lot of flack from the ailerons being "Not the Norm" but in all fairness they are just like the Composite-Arf's tapered design, wide at the root where the thrust can control the plane in a total stalled condition...
