Picked up an AM Extra 260 30% at Chief this afternoon. Haven't had time to inspect everything but so far looks REAL GOOD! Have a new DA 50 for it. Chief just got a big shipment in...check their web site.

Hi guys, sorry for the delay. It is amazing how a ton of rain, work and kids can get in the way of your hobby! This past weekend I was finally able to spend the afternoon at the field and got 4 great flights on the 260. It trimmed out easily and flies fantastic. Feels very light at 39 lbs with all of the wing area and flies very true. IMAC stuff is smooth as silk and it is rock solid in 3D. I let 3 other guys have a turn at the sticks and all felt the same way. In fact one of them asked to order one on the spot. I have some pics my buddy took. I will try to get some video posted soon. I do believe that this plane will be a production color scheme on the 40%. Not too sure about the others. If you have any specific questions, please feel free to ask and I will do my best to respond as quickly as possible. If you have been on the fence about getting one of these, do not hesitate. It flies sweet!!!! Craig

Made some progress...shortened the engine mount box so I could use 3" standoffs on the DA 50. added a 1/8" doubler and tri-stock for reinforcement. Wanted to keep the carb out of the fuse...this way everything is outside. Installed the rudder and elevators...used the plastic hinges provided with Pacer glue. Using Robart linkage instead of the supplied stuff. Hitec 5945MG for the rudder and 5975 HB's for the elevators and alierons. JR radio equipment otherwise. So far, everything looks top quality on the airframe, everything fits nicely, and the covering is very good. I'll have some pix soon as I download them from the camera and reduce the size.

I have just bought and received my TT TOC 33% Extra 260 from Chief Aircraft. It came without a tailwheel. I called Chief and was told that they do NOT come with one. Is this true? The list of items in the manual says tailwheel included.

That is true, they don't come with the tail wheel or tail gear assembly.  I'm not sure why they don't, but I would recommend the Haigh tail gear assembly.  I have one on my 33% TOC Yak, and it has held up to numerous harrier landings.  The Sullivan tail gear assembly did not fare as well.
