Four Star 120 Engine Choice
I'm currently building a Four Star 120. This is my first large aircraft and I'm trying to decide what engine to purchase. Some of my choices are Magnum 120 4-c, Os 120 4-c, or possibly an OS 1.6FX two stroke. I'm open to other ideas but want to stay away from the gas motors. I'm not looking for unlimeted vertical or hovering capability but still have plenty of power.
So what is the consensus on other peoples experiences with this aircraft and various motor combinations.
Thanks!
Mike

4*120
I have a 4*120 with the magnum 1204st/graupner 15x8 prop 20-20 fuel has excellent vertical, will hover and pull out, but not rocket out, I am useing about 6oz of weight under the fuel tank, so if you use the magnum 120 move the servo tray foward to get the balance with out adding weight, also add about 1 1/2" to the rudder and it will knife edge all day, a very good flying plane, no bad habit's. If you really want a performance put a YS120 w graupner16x8 prop. then use throttle to keep the speed down.

Four Star 120 Engine Choice
I have a Saito 150 on my 120 and am very pleased as well.
I added 6oz bolted to my extended engine mount bolts, so, like Gary said, move the serv tray batt. ect as far forward as possible.
I do have a heavier engine, however, I used Woldtex fabrick and paint for covering which added a little weight to the tail.
