Default Ikon N'West Monocoupe CG

Need some help. I've got an Ikon N'West Monocoupe with an OS Gemini 1.60 for power but I need to know the correct location for the CG. Anybody out there that can help me?

Thanks in advance

Jim, I can't locate my plans, but my Coupe balances on the spar.

3 5/8 inches from the leading edge, lots of flights at that setting

Thanks very much for the info. Mine is the 90A version as well. I'll try it there.

I also am building a Ikonwst 96', using a g38 for power. What is a good finished weight? Would my cg be in the ball park as yours?
Thanks, Wildhair

Mine is powered by a G38. Don't know the weight, but it's finished in 21st Century Fabric. Dual elavator, and a rudder servo are mounted aft. Battery is in the cabin area, near the CG. No additional ballast was needed.

Mine was totally unflyable at that CG location. Incredibly tail heavy. I had to do an emergency (crash) landing in a pond to keep from completely losing the aircraft. Damage was minimal thanks to a lot of luck and a fortuitously placed clump of reeds. I have to believe that the 3 5/8" CG location is 1 - 1.5 inches too far aft. I have not attempted to fly mine again but will be adding a whole lotta lead to the nose before I do.
