I have a menz 26x10 on it now, I want to get a spare prop, and probably a carbon. Should i buy another 26x10, or something a little bigger? I've been told that afer I break the engine in, I've got a few more gallons to go, that I should go to 27 or 28...

What do you guys think?
Thanks, Mike

The Menz 26x10 is loud. I am using a Mejzlik 27x10 which is a bit quieter. I have a Forte 26x10 which is best. Perhaps a NX 26 0r 27 x10 or maybe a MSC 26 or 27 x 10 ? Email the manufacturers and ask them what they recommend.

Craig.

I've used a Menz s 26x10, 3W 26x10, a forte 26x10, a prozinger 26x10, and a mezlik 24x12 3 blade.

the menz or 3W 26x10 has been the best for me. I flew the 3 blade 24x12 last season and had great results with the sound testing 90-91db average. the menz will give you the best pull for 3D stuff if you are into that. a friend has the 27x10 mezlik, but I havent got much time on it to give an opinion.

p.s. remember that the MSC is a true 26" so you would get a different rpm figure than with the menz/3W which is (help me out boys) 25.5" or 25.75". I think the Forte is true 26" too.

Excellent Point! My Menz and 3W are on average about 1/2" shorter than the posted diameter in the 26" props

yeah, it is something that gets lost in the conversion from metric to american measurements. so in Germany you would order a prop in mm not inches (?)

its really not a big deal. just realize this when you are looking at rpm figures from say one "26 inch" prop to another "26 inch" prop (menz compared to MSC) of the difference.

I fly a Menz s 28x10 on my 3W 100. I believe we found that the MSC 27x10 is the best fit for this engine in comparison. so on the BME maybe try an MSC 25x10 to get simmilar results or the 26x10 may be better for your application, but remember they are not the same size as the Mens.

wow, hope that isnt too confusing, correct me if I am wrong

Hubb

btw, my Menz 28x10 measures 27.5 "
