There is nothing like the Hangar 9 Digital Incidence meter. It works great for setting throws as well, a great price ($59) and does multi-functions. If you want dedicated gauges/meters, there are some manual ones that have a lead weight on the pointer and you can adjust zero by moving the backplate, they clip onto the control surface. If you have two of those it makes it much easier. I believe it's Radical RC that has them and a good price as well. The Hangar 9 is still less money and more accurate.

Depends on what you want to spend. If you want to keep the
cost down then the suggestions you
have had are good ones. Also, in this area are the CRC throw meters from
Central Hobbies. If money is not a critical concern then look at AeroPerfect.

The device from Hangar 9 does the same thing, it even comes with a clamp for the control surfaces and is accurate down to a 0.1 of a degree. That's way more accurate than we can tell by the way the plane flys! It's 1/4th the price, I can't see the advantage in that Aeroperfect device. Plus you get the incidence bar with the H9 device and it works all by itself as a digital protractor. Can't be beat for the money.

I will second the new HANGAR 9 ANGLE PRO incidence meter. It does double as an "ANGLE FINDER". My only complaint about it is that the button you push to "ZERO" the unit is stiff enough that it is difficult to get it to perfectly zero out. Typically I end up with a +/- .1 degree. This really isn't an issue though because you can add or subtract this offset easily.

I have had the ROBART and GREAT PLANES incidence meters and find this one from H9 to be much more user friendly.

I do have the HP PILOTS throw meters, both for the ail/elev and the other for rudder....they do work well. I would still recommend the H9 unit for doing incidence work as well as ail/elev throws. The HP PILOTS throw meter for the rudder would be needed to do the rudder as the H9 unit would be difficult to use on the rudder.

Throw that GP incidence meter in the trash......It doesn't even come close to being as accurate as the H9 or ROBART
