RE: 10' Slow poke
Today I made the real maidenflight with my SlowPoke, and there was no problems. [sm=regular_smile.gif]At least when it comes to flying. Flew just the way it does in RealFlight. Slow and steady! The only thing that was dramatic, was when the engine started to hesitate and after that simply just stopped! It was the needle on the idle-side of the carb that just dropped out from its place(!). Have anyone ever heard of such a thing? Well, landing her without any power from the motor went just fine though. She will be grounded now for a few days, I suppose.[&o]

RE: 10' Slow poke
Here are some pics of my progress. I installed LED lights in the wing for added fun.
The LEDs can go solid or flash.
Thanks ALL

I am just glad I am not the only crazy person out there ! And I am even happier when they share pictures of such fun one of a kind projects. Cool stuff like this will be the reason to go to a flyin, it would be worth the drive to meet these kinds of throw out the rule book builders.
Great Job !!!

No problem Dave.
I am a simple builder and when possible I search for easy and economical solutions for my ideas. Long story short..... Go to Pat catans and buy a $4.95 20 count ultra brite LED light string. It is powered by 3 AA batteries and lasts 100hrs. I use a string on my Slow stick and flew over 500ft up and had no problem seeing the bird. You can get clear or multi colored lights depending on your tastes. I will take some pics of the set up on my center section asap.
Happy flying friend!

I sure hope nothing has gone wrong, short of extrem tail heavy,or very strong winds it should be a baby to fly...I am guessing you will need to use alot of rudder in the turns though !
