RE: World Models 33% Cub ARF
ORIGINAL: BAS
I painted the gear flat black but plan on redoing the gear in cub yellow. I havent put on the balsa sides yet i have let it open as of now but plan on using the stock wood when i have some time this winter. I didnt use the wheels and tires that came with the plane they were not scale at all and too hard for soft landings. I used the 5.5 cub tires by Dubro i believe thats the size . Its the ones that have the yellow cub hub caps . I enlarged the holes in the wheels to fit the wallace gear axles. I am getting ready to put together a Aeroworks Yak 35% myself . What 260 do you have Roger.???

Got mine for Christmas, Really fast shipping and no damage! Was abit worried about greyhound, but turned out great. Gonna use my trusty Zenoah gt80. Need to finish the shop before I start this project, mudding the drywall now.

Shops done! I'm at the engine install point and need some info on how much down and right thrust to put in this gt80. Any info would be appreciated.

I would put about 2 degrees of right thrust in . That way it will help it track straight down the runway and on uplines it will not have a tendacy to pull to the left . Good luck

RE: World Models 33% Cub ARF
I have decided to make my cub a clipped wing version. I have been flying it for 2 years now . Also going to mount a BME 95 twin up front. Got some questions do you know if a Balsa USA cowl for their super cub would fit correct on the World Models cub . Their cowl is really much more realistic than the World models one. ??? By the way i clipped two bays off each wing which makes the total wing area around 110 inches.

Bringing this post alive to ask you guys if the Robart 1/3 scale gear looks good in this CUB, as I do not know if the Wheel angle will be offset so much it will not look scale? or any other issues?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Does anyone know the overall length of this model complete with stabs? I am trying to see if I can squeeze it into my Outback. It looks doable to me. The new version has removable stabs which will help. I think the rear of the model will slide between the seats and will fit. I just really need to buy this model instead of debating it. I have not had a Cub in almost 10 years and I need to take care of my Cub fever!
